Learn to Skate is for everyone — complete beginners of all ages who’ve never been on ice, and recreational skaters who want to sharpen their technique. Classes follow the USFS Basic Skills Program, a nationally recognized curriculum that builds solid fundamentals and opens the door to figure skating, hockey, speed skating, and beyond.
Classes are organized by age and skill level so skaters progress at the right pace. Sessions run throughout the season in groups of six classes each.
Learn to Skate is not run by the Palouse Ice Rink — we’ve partnered with the Palouse Hills Skating Club to organize and facilitate these classes. Register and find current session dates at phskating.org or email phscdirectorltsaspire@gmail.com.
Optional Skating Showcase
At the end of each season, participants are invited to perform in a free Spring Show — a great chance to share what you’ve learned with family and friends.
