Youth Hockey — PYHA

Palouse Bears Alumni Hockey

Youth hockey on the Palouse is organized by the Palouse Youth Hockey Association (PYHA) — a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to the development, advancement, and enjoyment of youth hockey for players across southeastern Washington and north-central Idaho. The PIR is PYHA’s home ice.

Programs

PYHA offers three programs for youth players:

  • House Hockey — traditional recreational hockey for ages 8U through 18U, organized by birth year with home and away games
  • Learn to Play — introductory program for ages 4–10 focused on skating fundamentals and basic hockey skills, with an emphasis on fun
  • Girls Development Program — for girls who want to learn and develop hockey skills alongside other girls

PYHA operates in partnership with USA Hockey and the Idaho Amateur Hockey Association (IAHA). It is the policy of the organization that there shall be no discrimination on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, or national origin.
