Classes and Camps at Palouse Ice Rink

The Palouse Ice Rink is more than a place to skate — it’s a place to learn. From beginner skating classes to award-winning science education to summer day camp, our programs are designed to engage people of all ages, build confidence, and make the most of a one-of-a-kind facility. Whether you’re stepping on the ice for the first time or coming back for another summer of camp, there’s a program here for you.

Programs

  • Learn to Skate — Beginner ice skating lessons for all ages, taught by qualified instructors in a structured, fun environment.
  • Skater Tots — A relaxed, low-traffic session for parents and caregivers with young children. A gentle introduction to the ice for little ones.
  • Homeschool Skate — Dedicated ice time for homeschool families. Fun, affordable, and open to all skill levels.
  • Learn to Play Hockey — No experience necessary. Our learn-to-play program gets beginners on the ice and into the game.
  • Summer Kids Camp — A supervised, activity-packed day camp running Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the summer. Kids enjoy a wide variety of on- and off-ice activities in a fun, safe environment.
  • Science on Ice — An award-winning STEM field trip program for 5th and 6th graders. Students explore physics, chemistry, and motion using the ice rink as their classroom. Over 7,000 students served since 2008.
  • School Events — Bring your class or group to the rink for a structured, supervised on-ice experience. A memorable alternative to the traditional field trip.
