Board of Directors

The Palouse Ice Rink is governed by a volunteer board of directors committed to keeping this community facility thriving for generations to come. Questions? Contact the board president.

Mark McGuire
Mark McGuire
President

Mark began playing hockey as an adult and found it a great way to keep in shape while enjoying team camaraderie. He coached his son in youth hockey “until he was better than me” and found watching kids develop and compete to be a true joy. Making sure the youth of the area have access to a regulation sheet of ice is a personal goal. In his other life, Mark is Director of the Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of Idaho, conducting research in lactation and nutrition.

Tony Mangini
Tony Mangini
Vice President

Tony joined the Palouse Ice Rink Board in 2014 and was elected Vice President in 2016. He became a customer of the rink in its second year of operation, playing ice hockey for the first time at age 32. After participating on several committees and seeing the value the rink offers the Palouse, he accepted an invitation to join the full board. Tony graduated from the University of Idaho and has worked at NRS for over 24 years, serving as CFO and Human Resources Director for 15 of those years.

She also studies “precrastination,” the tendency to start or finish a task sooner than necessary even when doing so takes more effort. Lisa earned her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois.
