Whether you’re stepping on the ice for the very first time or you’ve been skating for years, Palouse Ice Rink has a session for you. From public skating to figure skating to our popular Skater Tots program, there’s something for every age and skill level.
Programs

- Learn to Skate — Structured group lessons following the USFS Basic Skills curriculum, for complete beginners through skaters polishing their technique. Run in partnership with the Palouse Hills Skating Club.
- Skater Tots — A relaxed, low-traffic session for parents and caregivers skating with young children, roughly ages 1–6.
- Homeschool Skate — A high-energy PE session for homeschool families, with games like tag and capture the flag on the ice.
- Figure Skating — Home of the Palouse Hills Skating Club, plus dedicated public sessions for practice, private lessons, and first-time figure skaters.
- Skating Lessons — A quick guide to your lesson options — group Learn to Skate classes or private instruction with our coaches.
- Public Roller Skating — When the ice comes out for summer, the floor opens up for roller skating — bring your own skates or rent a pair.
